How we work
We believe that the best way to work is collectively.
We have no full-time members of staff in the UK. Instead we create partnerships with other organisation and individuals. The partnerships are formed to respond to programme briefs and work in sprints. We seek out the best people for particular jobs. So, if we need teacher trainers, we find the best. If we need architects or dieticians, that’s who we bring in.
We do it together
People people
Dan Chalke - Founder
Dan started People believing that together we have what it takes to help entire communities combat poverty. What task is so hard or obstacle so great that together we cannot overcome it? When we consider the potential that together we share, we should be excited.
Dan lives in London with his wife, Ruth, and two sons, Reuben and Ari.
Timothy Woodall - Chair
Tim lived in Kenya for three years and during his time there worked with our partner Uzimatele to establish a children’s home. Years later it was Tim who suggested Dan and Ruth Chalke visited Gituamba.
Tim works in the technology industry. He lives in London with his wife, Jenn.
